Marko Arnautovic in West Ham news again? Get in the bin.
Ah, it time, because Arnautovic is in the news again. Once again, West Ham is apparently the bad guys and he’s just a poor trapped footballer. Cry me a river.
As West Ham enter their summer trying to improve the squad and make real strides up the table, it’s obvious that a few people don’t want to be there. Chicharito wants to head to Spain, Obiang has been linked away numerous times and others will be sold. However all the newspapers want to talk about is Arnautovic, because of his unprofessional attitude to the club.
Once again we are seeing his brother come out and say he wants to leave and he’s a nice guy just trying to live his life. This 6 months after he clapped himself off a home match saying goodbye, before signing a new contract for more money and saying he was here to stay. Now he’s apparently ‘Just being used’ by the club. Let’s break this statement down.

Ok let’s do this line by line. “He’s not a cow or horse”. Correct, he’s an adult human who willingly signed a contract 5 months ago. That contract has not expired. Therefore you are still legally bound to the club and you don’t get to strop when you’re not getting paid more because YOU, yes you, not anyone else, signed the contract.
‘Highly talented footballer…used by West Ham’. Well we’re trying to use him, you know, under the terms of the contract he signed! To play football! We’re not trying to sell his kids or make him dance the club scene. This also applies to the last line where he’s ‘not just a commodity’. When you’re getting paid 100k a week to play a sport in one of the best cities in the world…get over yourself. Football is a business, and players are a commodity.
‘West Ham were trying to sell in January…and still are now’. ONLY BECAUSE YOU MADE A REQUEST TO LEAVE AND “WIN TROPHIES” IN CHINA. We didn’t want to sell in January but you made it clear you wanted out. And you want out now. But you’re complaining, your being sold. Honestly at this point I have nothing to say to Arnie and his agent except for GET IN THE BIN. I mean, what even is their argument?
Here was a player we were hoping would help post Payet. But what he’s actually done is almost the same. But he wasn’t as good, and so there was no-one willing to pay the fee. Quite honestly he’s not essential to the side and the longer him and his idiot brother are allowed to stay at the club the more it will have an impact on the season ahead. And they’re just not worth it.
