There was a time that Jack Wilshere was thought to be the next savior of English international football. But as we all know, injuries can sometimes ruin someone’s career in football and in this case, none better than the West Ham midfielder.

Before coming to West Ham we can remember his younger years at Arsenal, playing 198 times scoring 14 and assisting 30. Stats weren’t all of Jacks game as he was a mastermind in the midfield up and down the box. Unfortunately, the other part of Jack’s game was soon to be found out about in the form of injuries.

For his career, he was injured and missed out on 185 matches. Last season at West Ham, he missed 30 matches due to a recurring ankle injury that we all hope is healed this season.

Earlier this month Jack finished up with his documentary discussing his trials going through injury and his life and dealing with issues on and off the pitch. If you haven’t watched it, check it out here, it’s actually really good!

Jack has given the West Ham world hope in a few ways so far this offseason. First off, he seems ready to roll and get back out there:

We could all just take that with a grain of salt because it’s been said before right? But in all seriousness, he has been out working to get back into shape and get his game back to where he was before.

Yesterday, Jack posted this video on his Instagram page showing some skill work and it’s getting the Hammers world fired up by writing, Remember that guy who gave up? Neither does anyone else! Fans and players alike had something to say about this as one fan wrote Hammer of the year next year come on Jacky and even Declan Rice got in there with a little team spirit saying, Shame u still can’t beat me finishing in training!

You can see the joy it’s bringing to fans and the fun that his teammates are having with this. To mean it means that West Ham fan’s, you still have his back and you can tell his teammates do as well.

The question still remains the same, will West Ham finally get a healthy Jack Wilshere? My hope and thought, yes. We at West Ham haven’t seen a fully fit Wilshere and as for me, I’m salivating that the chance to get to. Between him, Lanzini, and Fornals West Ham should have quite the attacking midfield with abilities to keep the play alive.
