The summer window is like a roller coaster and the past two days for West Ham fans have been on the up slide. First in the signing of Pablo Fornals on Friday and now rumored to have a fee agreed with Celta Vigo forward and longtime target, Maxi Gomez.

Since the winter window last season, West Ham have been linked with, rumored with, whatever with Maxi Gomez. Finally, as of Saturday morning, it appears that the Hammers and Valencia have both had fees approved for somewhere around £29m according to Sky Sports.

Now, Maxi must choose between West Ham and Valencia, Celta Vigo’s Spanish rival. Basically, it comes down to a few things. Looking at West Ham, he would get to test his skills with the best in the business and join in on the Pellegrini project. Looking at Valencia, he gets to stay in Spain and play in the UEFA Champions League next year.

When Hammers Chat broke the news on Saturday morning on Twitter, it essentially broke every Hammers Twitter account as every fan from Portsmouth to Kansas City had something to say about the 22-year-old forward and what should happen.

Clearly, I doubt he will look for Twitter to make his decision but if he does choose West Ham, what will we be getting? The Uruguayan International has put in 31 goals for and 10 assists since he arrived at Celta Vigo just 2 years ago.

The addition of his firepower in East London would be a welcomed asset as our current squad only had 2 players get into double digits (Arnautovic and Anderson). Having faith in Pellegrini and Husillos, I think this will get done if Husillos can have his way since the forward position it much-needed.

After the Hammers have sold off Lucas Perez and neglected to resign Andy Carroll, someone like Maxi Gomez would be a welcome addition. It would certainly give Pellegrini the option to run his favorite formation, the 4-4-2 or variation of 4-2-2-2, more than he has in year number one.

Next. ’m salivating thinking of West Ham’s team with Pablo Fornals in it. dark

This isn’t the first time at GSH where we’ve talked about signing Gomez and what it could look like with him and Arni upfront and if the cards get dealt right, hopefully, it won’t be the last. I am sure that in the coming days more will be decided on with where he may choose to go let’s just hope for our sake, he’s saying COME ON YOU IRONS!
