West Ham working on loan deals for two Academy Goalkeepers
With West Ham filling up the Goalkeeper position with David Martin and Roberto over the past week, what plans will they have in store for there two Academy keepers Nathan Trott and Joseph Anang?
The Goalkeeper position was a much sought after position for Pellegrini and Co in this summers window and its safe to say that they got it figured out. With much debate, even amongst cowriters here on GSH, about this position, it’s a good surprise to see to signings that we had no idea West Ham were about to make.
Now that the Hammers have technically 5 keepers from their U23s to the big club, what will they do with the younger boys? I for one didn’t think this move would happen and the Hammers staff would look to U20 English international Nathan Trott, but this move seemingly makes sense as it will give him and Anang time to grow out on loan.

It was reported Monday afternoon by our favorite club insider, EXWHUEmployee, that West Ham would look to send both keepers out on loan for experience and first team playing time outside of the U23s. With that, let us look at who they are and where they might go.
Nathan Trott
Bermuda born, English international will be most likely going out on loan for the first time. He has spent most of his time since joining in 2016 on the U23 squad baring from the rare first-team squad appearance. My hope is that he goes to a solid Championship side, anything less than that will be a massive step back in his progress.
Joseph Anang
This other potential first-time loanee hails from Ghana. Joseph has made the jump up to the U23s this past season and has had coaches within the club raving about him. It is time for him to step up into senior action and see what he has. I think a solid landing-place will be either in League 1 or a much smaller side outside of England.
With Mondays signing of Martin, both Trott and Anang have essentially 2 years to get some experience before both might be looked at for either the backup keeper or the number 1. You have to be excited about this position for West Ham as both the youth and senior players look poised and in place for years to come.
