The transfer window is open and things are already starting to heat up. For West Ham, there are a few key positions that need filling to ensure their hopeful climb up the table. The Hammers are already potentially losing 3 forwards meaning that must be an area of consideration.

The forward position on paper looks full but as we go through this window and we look at whether West ham should keep or sell these players you will see the list almost disappear. There’s already been more than enough names popping up for new buys to this position but who will stay and who will go now?

Andy Carroll (Let go)

Yes, The Green Street Hammer most beloved wonder boy (definitely up for interpretation) is on the block and it seems almost certain his time is up at West Ham. An injury ridden career for the Hammers has made it easy on the minds of many West Ham fans to include our own Scott Johnson and I don’t think we resign him and he will be looking elsewhere in the coming month.

Lucas Perez (Sell)

The Spaniard came to West Ham for just under 4 million pounds in the summer and after featuring in just 15 Premier League matches I think it’s safe to say he might not fit the scheme Pellegrini wants. It’s sad to see since the once rising star was flying high just a few years ago. With Reports of him wanting to go back to Spain I think the Hammers will look to sell and just get what we can for this once thriving star.

Marko Arnautovic (Keep)

Now 30, Marko Arnautovic is where many consider the prime of his career. I think it’s safe to say that he will be in East London for a few more years as he looks to be putting down roots. Once he got back on track he showed to be a vital part in the last three matches contributing in all three. West Ham only lost twice this season when Marko either scored or assisted in the match. I think it’s a no brainer to keep him and look to see who will be playing alongside him.

Chicharito (Keep)

Remember when I said you might disagree? He hasn’t quite brought them same flair he had in the past but he has performed in times of need this season. Scoring late to help get 3 points against Palace and scoring a brace against Huddersfield to help fix that awful outcome. I doubt he would stay as a squad player but if he wants to stay, let him compete with whoever the back office decide to bring in.

One thing is clear, West ham won’t be keeping all four of these forwards with the gaffer’s mindset going forward.  The Academy even has some players that may be able to make the jump up to fill the void. If the Hammers can hold on to Marko and Chicharito and bring in one to two younger forwards we could be set up for seasons to come.
