On Friday morning, EA Sports revealed its Premier League Team of the Season to the world. No surprise as names like Salah, Sterling, and Aguero was on the list but one delightful and well-deserved surprise was seeing Declan Rice selected.

Firstly, I think it is important to note how he got here and what he has done this season to be selected among the best of the best in the English Premier League. In 33 top-flight matches this season he was able to knock in 2 goals. It also goes without saying that without him West Ham would’ve been in more trouble as he was such an unstoppable force in the middle of the field.

More from Green Street Hammers - West Ham

This was seemingly obviously as won The West Ham Young Hammer of the Year again and earned a call up to the England national squad for the summer. He was also only one of 8 West Ham players to earn an EA Sports Team of the week award this season, too.

With all of those accomplishments, it’s easy to see how Rice got the nod for the team of the year but how can you get him? He wasn’t selected to on the first team, snubbed in my opinion, but he is available to get after completing certain weekly objectives.

It is still undetermined what the weekly objective will be but either way, he’s moved from a 69 rating at the beginning of the season to a boosted 88 rating. This is the first time in a while that a West Ham player has been nominated for this award and it should have Fifa fans, myself included, excited to use and play him. His top attribute will be his physicality which was boosted to a 92 rating,  I completely agree.

Keep it locked to The Green Street Hammers this summer as we will bring more Fifa updates as they come for West Ham players and if you are up to the challenge and have a PS4 look me up @JCarson_1755 until then, COME ON YOU IRONS!
