Attention West Ham fans: Las Vegas event inbound

If there is anything that West Ham fans have in common it is that we love our Hammers and we love to let people know it. We like to get together, share the occasional beverage, and sing and shout on the boys from east London. With all of that being said, there is an opportunity for us to do just that this summer in Sin City, Las Vegas Nevada.

With a growing fan base in the United States, it has been a want for many West Ham fans to get together somewhere and put on an event. John Black who runs the Las Vegas West Ham United page on Twitter has begun doing just that. So far he is in the preliminary stages of setting up the event with the West Ham Way, but a lot is in motion already.

The main goal is to bring Hammers’ supporters from North, Central, and South America together but obviously, any and all supporters of West Ham are invited. The time or date is still to be confirmed as we wait for the 2019/20 schedule to be released but the aim is for the beginning of the season.

We do know the where, however, as it will be hosted at Blondie’s Sports Bar & Grill inside Planet Hollywood. The cost is still being negotiated as the aim is to get an all you can drink deal with breakfast. The best part, we will have the full run of the place so setup and hang up what we want.

Although gathering together as one and getting to meet some West Ham greats sounds fantastic I would be remiss to not point out an even greater thing that is going on. One of the main ideas behind this is to continue the aide and support of Isla’s Fight. As we all know this little joy is an amazing fighter that embodies the Hammers spirit and her fight is not over and anything helps.

A few of the raffle prizes will include signed shirts from current players, tickets to Las Vegas attractions, and a trip for two to a West Ham game including flight, hotel, and game tickets. Who do we have to thank for these donated prizes? The Ribman, Fresno Hammers Brewery, and West Ham Art so far.

There will be more surprise guests confirming in a few weeks but as the goal is to set this up just like a West Ham Way event in the UK, Dave Walker and Ex WHU Employee will be flying into this event and get this hopefully annual event happen. The aim of this whole thing is to not make it a Las Vegas thing every year as it will make it hard for everyone to come out this far. After this event is a success the goal is to look to New York or Chicago for future ones.
