West Ham’s season may be going to end without any real interest, but the last big London Derby of their season should provide some interest. Can the Hammers lift themselves out of this funk?

Adam: West Ham 2-1 Tottenham

I really don’t know why I believe this will happen, but I do. West Ham like to play up to the level of their opposition and I believe this is the last match this season with something (as consolation as it may be) on the line for the team. Beating Tottenham is something ingrained in West Ham and I don’t believe that Mark Noble will skip out on explaining that to the team.

As for goals, it’s difficult. I’ll give one to Michail Antonio and the other to one of West Ham’s centre-backs. Both could come off of set pieces and aerial headers. Again, the Irons have a history of bashing in set pieces against Spurs and I think it will continue. I’m hopeful, but again, I don’t know why!

More from Green Street Hammers - West Ham

Scott: Spurs 3 – 0 West Ham

I put myself in here as a juxtaposition to all the optimism that is currently coming out of Green Street Hammers HQ. As the only member of the team to predict as loss (spoilers) I don’t understand where the happiness and excitement is coming from. We’ve been average at best in recent weeks and even when we’ve lifted our performance it hasn’t really been enough.

I want to see a lot of action over the summer because the last 5 games or so has been a real sign of where the squad is at. The players don’t believe the squad is capable of much more than mediocrity and once that was assured we just gave up. Spurs are a good side, with or without Harry Kane, and I don’t see that we’re going to get anything at their new ground.

Jeremiah: 2-1 Hammers Win

If you don’t know the setup by now here it is. West Ham at Tottenham, first derby between these two in Spurs new ground, where they haven’t lost…yet. I know it seems crazy to think I could be so bold as to pick us away but to sound even stranger I’d rather play them away at a new ground then at home.

With the two main boys out and hurting for Spurs it could be time to pounce. Spurs have a lot to play for still but I truly believe we come out firing with a good backing of fan support. It’s not going to be easy and it’s going to take the Hammers “A game” but it’s a derby with a hated rival, what more could you ask for!

Jeff: Hammers win 2-1

The Premiere League campaign for West Ham may not be completely limping toward a conclusion, but you can still see a distinct hobble as they face Spurs in a London Derby at their new ground.

The Hammers have been dreadful away from home since the turn of the calendar to 2019, and they have exactly TWO away goals in that same period.

The club is coming off the heals of two strong efforts vs Man U and Leicester. It’s completely fair to say the refs robbed the club of maybe 4 additional points, or at least 3. But professional sports is no place for moral victories and so West Ham are still looking for their first league win since mid March.

It would be just like the West Ham Way to find that win and those elusive full three points in this away match vs the club’s London rival. Things set up to do just that in my view. The Hammers are in good form despite their actual results, and the Spurs could be caught looking ahead to Tuesday’s Champions League match. Plus when its vs Spurs, anything can happen for the Irons. Here’s the recent run of form continuing and the law of averages catching up with both West Ham and Tottenham. COYI
