West Ham open the weekend’s action with a home derby against Fulham. Can the Hammers give the West Ham faithful a good start to the weekend? Or will the Cottagers begin their fightback here?

Jeremiah: 2-1 Win

Yes I know another patented Jeremiah 2-1 Win prediction! Earlier this season we were rolling and beat Fulham 2-0 on the road. I have no doubts we can win again but I don’t see it coming in such a convincing way. Fulham may be low in the table but don’t let that full you, they have shown potential to pull tricks out here n there.

Being at home will help in my opinion and with the potential of both Nasri and Lanzini coming back should be a huge boost for the players and fans alike! I don’t think we see much of the Lanzini but what a roar it’ll be to see him come on! I think Fulham strikes first but an impressive come from behind brace from Arni could do the trick! 2-1, 3 points, and COME ON YOU IRONS!

Adam: West Ham 3-1 Fulham

With the time off West Ham have had, and the quality of players they have returning to the team, Fulham could be in trouble. I fully assume both Arnautovic and Chicharito will be starting with either Lanzini or Nasri in behind them. That plus Antonio and Anderson our wide forms a pretty formidable attack.

More from Green Street Hammers - West Ham

I think we’ll see Arnautovic get back in the goals in this match as well as Chicharito. I can’t say for sure that Mitorvic on the other side will be denied all match long but I can’t see him getting multiple. Overall a stout and commanding win for the Hammers

Scott: West Ham 2-1 win

Fulham will be fighting for their life now, because there can be no illusions about their position. Every game that they don’t win puts more pressure on the next, and I don’t think this Fulham side is particularly cut out to deal with pressure. So I expect West Ham to put their foot on the throat of the side and claim a fairly comfortable win.

So if I think a comfortable win, why do I think 2-1? Because it’s West Ham. We’ll play well for 90 minutes, keep them at bay and be 2-0 up before letting in a corner or set piece goal which involves Mitrovic bundling it over the line with his face or knee. Leaving Fabianski disappointed about his Clean Sheet bonus once again. The West Ham Way.

Jeff – West Ham 2-0

Count me among the West Ham pundits who think the warm weather training did the club some good both on and off the pitch in the middle of a hated International break.

Coming on the heels of the January transfer drama and Marko Arnautovic saga it is good to get the team away from distractions and bonding with each other again. And the fact that several players are training up to this match vs Fulham including Manuel Lanzini and the timing could not be better. While all eyes will be on Lanzini making the bench, Samir Nasri and Fabian Balbuena are also set to be re-introduced to the squad and both have a chance to get right back into the starting XI.

For those reasons, I think the Hammers will come out at home on a Friday night in front of a well-oiled and vocal crowd and be on the front foot from the start. I expect Marko to be upfront, Balbuena in the back and Nasri and Lanzini on the bench set to make cameos for the Irons. This should be a relatively easy West Ham Way kind of victory.
