West Ham are inconsistent, even in the same 90 minute game

More from Green Street Hammers - West Ham

If there’s one characteristic that has remained within the club since I started supporting them it is the ability to be inconsistent so consistently. And this isn’t just your run of the mill type inconsistency where you play well one game then fall apart the next. West Ham seem to be able to do it a number of times within the same game.

For almost half an hour the Hammers controlled the game against Cardiff. Passes went to feet and players were moving into space. The whole game looked simple to the boys in Claret and Blue. And then at a flick of the switch we decided that the ball wasn’t round and giving it to the opposition was the best thing to do. It was crazy.

It took half time and a stern team talk to get the players moving again, but sometimes this will be our undoing. If Pellegrini does one thing at the club I hope it’s that he removes the inconsistent gene of the club. These players need to get to the point where they have a level and they perform to it, at least for 90 minutes. Please. For the sanity of the fans.
