Not sure whether you can afford Kane, Salah and Hazard? What about Aguero as part of the Man City roulette? Well maybe West Ham’s Grady Diangana can free you up some cash, and return some points.
Every year the FPL, or fantasy premier league, community go in search of a strong scoring budget option. Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka was picked as the cheap defender for the year this time, and who remembers when Mahrez and Vardy cost next to nothing at the start of the season Leicester changed everything? Well I think West Ham’s Grady Diangana could be a great shout for a new budget option.
Who is he? Well having joined the Hammers as an Under 12 he’s now been thrust into the first team squad thanks to a great debut in the league cup and a long term injury to Yarmolenko. After some bedding in time he is now beginning to look the part as one of the Hammer’s front three. But surely he’s not a viable option for the long term right? Wrong.

With Yarmolenko’s injury the Hammers are searching for consistency on the right, and Diangana’s performance against Burnley showed he could do it. As well as grabbing the assist for Anderson’s first goal, he also made 5 key passes, more than any other Hammer. According to squawka, he also completed 6 takeons against Burnley, more than any other player has managed in a single Premier League game all season. AAAAnd he had a blatant penalty shout turned down. All action stuff.
So how much does he cost? 6.5m? 6m? 5m? No. He is currently in at just 4.5m, and will only fact 1 top 6 side (that is Man City I know but) until the middle of January 2019. This is a golden chance to free up some cash and get a cheap, attacking winger who is going to be playing regular games in an attacking three. Given that he will be feeding and working with Arnautovic, a regular FPL scorer, it should be a point rich environment.
Am I saying this kid is going to have a season like Mahrez when Leicester won the title? No. Will he be nominated for the Ballon D’Or next year? Probably not. But here you have a midfielder who will cost you only 4.5m fake fantasy dollars and could well measure up to the likes of Felipe Anderson in terms of scoring. Worth a punt? Even if he’s just a 4.5m midfield option you largely leave on the bench. At 0.1% ownership, he’s as much an uber-differential as you will find!
