Green St Hammers Predicts West Ham’s derby against Spurs
West Ham take on Spurs today, and so it’s prediction time at Green St Hammers. Can the Hammers get a win over their London rivals?
Jeff: 2-2
Heading into last months International Break, West Ham United were coming off a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Wolves. And coming out of it, they beat Everton 3-1 as they hit their best form of the season going unbeaten in 4 straight.
Hopefully that pattern repeats itself here as the Hammers lost before the break 1-0 at Brighton. With another derby at hand in the London Stadium vs Spurs a big win and three points would be welcome to wash away the bad taste of that prior effort.
But Tottenham is no Everton. They sit 11 points above us at the moment. The matches with our cross-town rivals are always fun from a West Ham supporters perspective because we seem to keep them from accomplishing their goal at hand. Over the past four meetings, we’ve come up with two wins and a draw…that would do nicely here. Another interesting sidebar story around this match is that we will see Spurs again in a cup match in just 11 more days; also at home. For this league fixture though, I see it as a draw; 2-2.
Adam: West Ham 2 -1 Tottenham

West Ham got things back on track after a poor performance hosting Wolves before last international break, why not again? On top of possible coincidental wins, West Ham have a front three that are clicking and able to strike at any time in the match.
Most important in this is Arnautovic’s health. He captained and scored in Austria’s Nation’s League match over Northern Ireland in the face of critics who said he didn’t deserve the arm band. He is focused and in form, and most importantly, he didn’t pick up any more injuries. I do think Tottenham will score one, whether it comes from Kane or Dele Alli i don’t know, but they’re good enough to work one past us. West Ham will be in tough against Spurs but they’ll relish the opportunity to set the tone in this seasons Spurs/Hammers rivalry
Jeremiah Result- 2-2 Draw
Football is back! Man I hate the international breaks and especially after a saddening defeat like we had against Brighton. The squad looked off and didn’t look in it for most of the match but with a boring break comes time to heal and regroup.
Tottenham have had time to heal and regroup as well but luck might be with us as they will still have a few key players out. I predict it to be a classic London derby and it coming down do someone scoring a drawing goal late in the 80/90 minute range! I hate Spurs so I am for than fired up this week and I hope we can show it unlike a few weeks ago! 2-2 Draw and a good point for me! COME ON YOU IRONS!
Scott: Spurs to win 2-1
Yes I’m pessimistic. It’s what a lifetime of supporting West Ham does to you. But I do think we can really push Spurs and this is a great measure of how we’re doing. We need to be able to play decent football against these types of teams but I think there will be just a bit too much quality in this Spurs attack.
Do I think we have a chance? Of course! Our front line is capable of scoring multiple goals against almost any defence and our defence is looking better week by week. This game is going to be fast and furious, so I really do hope I’m wrong!
