GSH Predicts West Ham’s trip to Brighton
West Ham are in fine form at the moment as they travel to Brighton, but they must be aware. Brighton swept the Hammers last season and they must keep playing at a high intensity in order to get a result in order.
Jeremiah: 3-0 to the Irons
It’s Friday night Football! It may have a different meaning in American than England and it might not hold as much flair but it’s an exciting game none the less. I’m am probably over enthusiastically predicting this match at this point but why not, Manuel Pellegrini has his side and the Hammers are playing lights out at the moment.
Brighton has done well in tough games this year keeping close to City and Liverpool and even beating Man U but they lack the pizazz that you see from a challenging PL side. I’m going to stick to my guns on this one and say that West Ham stick to their form and show again how they can play! COME ON YOU IRONS!
Scott: 3-1 to the Hammers
If there’s something that I expect from be a Hammers fan, its disappointment after a big high. We don’t have back to back wins in the Premier League for the last couple of years and to get past that we can’t let it slip. The attacking impetus needs to be there. To take our foot off the case could be very dangerous.
Brighton aren’t exactly expansive or exciting, but they are consistent and will do their best to test the Hammers at set pieces. The longer the game goes on without a goal the more they will grow into it and I do worry we could get nervous. Despite that, the form we are in I am expecting a few goals for some Friday night excitement.

Adam: 2-0 to West Ham
This Brighton match has “trap game” written all over it. West Ham have been playing extremely well in their past three games against top shelf opponents so a sneaky weekday, Brighton away fixture has unexpected loss written all over it. That being said im an eternal optimist and want to believe in this squad so I give you 2-0.
West Ham will hold the ball a lot more than Brighton, limiting the Gull’s attacking opportunities but Knockhart up the right side and Murray in the middle will crease some chances for the opposition. That being said, I think West Ham are mentally strong and still hungry for more points. Brighton are going to have to prepare extremely hard for this match and are without Pascal Gross which is a massive boost. Look for Anderson to keep in the goals with Arnautovic picking one up, too.
Jeff: 2-1 to Hammers
Heading into this Friday match, West Ham and Brighton on the surface appear to be mirror images of each other. The clubs sit 14th and 15th in the table separated by 2 points. Their goal differential is just 1 apart. And each club has scored 8 goals in the first 7 match days. But that’s where the similarities end.
Its quite a different feeling around the Hammers ahead of this trip, coming off the big win vs Man U and being unbeaten in their last three league games and four overall. Meanwhile, Brighton have lost two in a row and haven’t won in their last four. I am expecting the current run of form to continue for both West Ham and Brighton in this one. I also expect Manuel Pellegrini to stick with the same XI and formation that has been working so well for the side. That’s why I see this as another win for the Hammers.
