West Ham have got 7 points from three tough games, and routed a lower league side in the past two weeks. To continue that form the team must keep on the front foot.
I don’t know what is more West Ham, losing the first 4 games of the season or going unbeaten over Everton away, Chelsea and United at home. Either way we’re now in midtable and looking to make our way up as we approach the winter. But we can’t change the way we’re playing, or expect to win if we step back. The intent must remain, even in the supposed ‘easy’ matches.
It’s amazing to take the game to the big clubs, but we must keep the same focus against Friday night’s opponent, Brighton. Last season they got 6 points from us, and we can’t let that happen again. The atmosphere around the season is amazing, and the players must let that show. It’s clear to see that the players have enjoyed playing in the last fortnight.

Any Hammer will tell you that we always seem to lose concentration after a good run. It’s one of the reasons we very rarely challenge up the table. The players start believing the hype, and it all goes to waste.
With Pellegrini in charge though, and players like Noble and Rice in the middle, I think there will be a lot of talk in the dressing room about the necessary professionalism. Yes Brighton are a Premier League side, and players like Murray and Izquierdo can hurt you if you give them the opportunity, but our side is better all across the pitch. If the players play with a smile on their face and push to keep scoring there is no way Brighton would be able to cope.
Whilst I know United were poor last week, we played much better than them. We deserved the win and it could have been more. I don’t remember every being this confident across the board about the West Ham lineup. We have a front three that has worried two big defences, a defence that has become more solid with every game and a seemingly settled midfield. Bring on Brighton.
