It’s almost time for the transfer window to close, so beware false prophets. By that, I mean bad reporting for you, and overhyped players for West Ham.

We’re now approaching the final few hours of transfer dealings, and I’m sure before the end someone will make a crazy bid. West Ham must make sure they don’t massively overpay for a player they don’t need, and you must be aware that every clickbaity news source will be printing anything they can to get your attention.

It’s always the same, and the clubs that have been active tend to get the most attention. It’s widely accepted that the Hammers have well outspend the mark most people thought they would, and so it’s easy to spin that they will continue to spend more. However the likelihood that we will put a 50m bid in on a Spanish striker now is very low.

Fake News

Obviously most people can tell the difference between clickbait and good honest news, and to those that can’t i’m afraid the next 48 hours will be tough for you. However all reliable sources say the Hammers will not spend big in the final few days, with only a few minor deals being sorted out.

What the club must be aware of is not panicking. Whilst I do think we are not deep enough in the centre of midfield I think that throwing money at someone we’re not set on right at the last minute is unlikely to do anything positive. Whilst I’m not too keen on the Sanchez deal, it’s cheap and will provide cover. A huge amount of money spent on a player Pellegrini hasn’t studied will not help the club in the long run.

Next. Only one Hammer makes Fansided Top 50. dark

However I’m sure the media will be whipping everyone into a frenzy during the next two days, but we will do our best to report only the most reliable news, and maybe some fact checking articles. If you want up to the minute, reliable info check in on ExWhuEmployee and Sam Inkersole. They are reliable sources, and produce very little hot air. Avoid the tabloids unless you want to hear about our ambitious bid to sign a player who we’d never get!
