5 ways West Ham’s attack could line up during the season
Striker: Martinez Midfield: Holland/Haksabanovic/?
In the final one of my attacking lineups, I take a look at how we could lineup if Pellegrini decides to throw the kids into the fray. Maybe if we’re looking at a Carabao Cup (is that still it’s name? Who knows!) game against lower league opposition we could give these guys a chance to show us what they can do.
After the loaning out of Marcus Browne and Martin Samuelsen, I’m not sure who else I would include in this ‘ready to be give a try’ lineup. Joe Powell scored a penalty late on in the Billericay game, and Jamal Hector-Ingram has been playing well for the last 12 months. Despite more of a natural striker, he could play wider in this sort of setup.
For the first time in a whole I do think we have a number of talented youngsters who are almost at the point of joining the Hammers first team. With some on loan we will have to wait and see how they integrate next season, but so far the future does look good for those in Claret and Blue.
