It’s been a good summer for West Ham in regards to transfers. But it could still get better if the right loan moves go ahead. And Chelsea have three players that could help in that regard.

If West Ham can add a couple more good value deals to this summer, it could stand to be one of their most exciting ever. With money spent and problem areas hopefully solved, two more additions would help no end. With an issue of quality Premier League experience in midfield and a striking option needed, Chelsea could offer both.

Whilst there has been no official word over the availability of Chelsea players, given their new manager and coaching staff, it is likely Sarri would like to start shaping the squad to his vision. So if one or two fringe squad players were to go on loan for a year, I don’t think there would be too much fight from the man in charge.

Midfield

After playing more at the World Cup than many originally thought Ruben Loftus Cheek could be a great addition to the West Ham midfield. He is a strong, powerful runner who is willing to work hard for his team. More than that, his time at Palace last year showed he was willing to play different roles at different times and that he has good footballing intelligence. His youth could lead him to be loaned again as Chelsea rebuild once again.

More from Green Street Hammers - West Ham

One that I wouldn’t have picked 12 months ago as available is Bakayoko. He was signed 12 months ago but had an, at best, average season. However 12 months doesn’t make a good player bad, and he would certainly represent an upgrade on Kouyate, who Pellegrini has alread highlighted as not technically proficient enough. He is rumoured to be available, but he could be given more time under new manager Sarri.

Either of these players would be a great addition, but I would prefer RLC. With Rice, Noble and Obiang we have 3 defensive midfielders, however Wilshere is the only true box-to-box central player we have. RLC would bolster the options we have, and cover for if/when Wilshere does pick up an injury.

Striker

Batshuayi would probably represent the most dynamic and exciting striking option the Hammers could get on loan this year. With strikers worth their weight in gold, not too many are available. However with Chelsea looking to bolster their own attacking options either Batshuayi or Morata are likely to be moved on. With Morata only joining last year and at the age where selling make more sense than loaning, Batshuayi could be very much available.

He is a mobile striker who sometimes struggles finding the net, but is always in the right places. Given the pace our attack is likely to have this season he would be a very useful addition, and one that could help the side on their push up the table.
