West Ham vs Brighton: Match Report on Premier League clash
By Amanda Paula
It was a terrible Friday night for West Ham.
West Ham hosted Brighton at the London Stadium for their Premier League clash. However, in opposition to many predictions, the Albion won 3-0 over the Irons and got their first away victory of the season.
The goals were scored by Glenn Murray, Jose Izquierdo and once again Murray after being fouled by Zabaleta, thus, received a penalty.
The loss put the Irons to the 17th and they are dropping close to the relegation zone, however, this situation could be temporary. But they are relying on results like Leicester beating Swansea on Saturday at Liberty Stadium to stay clear.

First Half
After a draw with Burnley last week, many fans thought that West Ham had a chance to return to winning ways. However, it as far away that we have seen tonight. Without much choice, Slaven Bilic played the 4-2-3-1 formation, but they continued to disappoint the fans without any creativity. Even playing with Lanzini, the Irons showed a lack of chemistry.
If some fans had a larger hope to get a victory on Friday night, this was cut early. It was the 10th minute when a goal came from Glenn Murray after a superb Pascal Gross’ free-kick.
Again it took 30 minutes for West Ham to start playing well with Lanzini and Antonio. But players like Arnautovic and Chicharito seemed lost on the pitch and without any desire to help.

And a tough task became harder moments before the break when Izquierdo shot a ball from distance into Joe Hart’s net. The Englishman got a hand to it but Brighton increased their advantage on the scoreboard.
Second Half
After the break, Billic set Andre Ayew into the 11, but this did not do anything to help. Javier Hernandez was our main striker and even so he is struggling in front of goal, which is annoying to the fans who are going every single game to the stadium.
Without any motivation for playing well at home, the Irons suffered a third goal from Murray. The Argentina international Zabaleta pushed him into the penalty area; therefore, the referee gave a penalty to Brighton. Consequently, the visitors confirmed their win with the ball sliding into the net.

Many fans are already requesting that West Ham fire Slevan Billic. Even so, we have Tottenham as our next adversary on Wednesday in the Football League Cup. Will West Ham defeat the Spurs or will Billic already be out before the game?
