Burnley vs West Ham: Preview and Predictions
By Amanda Paula
West Ham visit Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday in the Premier League.
West Ham come in from their first match in the Premier League after the international break. Two weeks ago, the Irons won two games in the last three matches. To continue their improvement the Hammers should look to beat another team and this time they will have Burnley as their adversary, at Turf Moor on Saturday.
Burnley, as we know, are a tough team and they beat Everton in the last match before the international break. However if you look on paper the Irons have by far the most talented side. Which means that the Hammers should still be the favourites even going to play away.
The good news for the East-Londoners, Manuel Lanzini, Michael Antonio and Marko Arnatouvic should on the Slaven Bilic’s 11 men. Whilst Javier Hernandez could start on the bench, thus, he had returned to London on Thursday 12. Thus it might just be too quick a turn around for the Mexican.
Can West Ham continue the good form or will they lose their momentum?

Why West Ham could win
Before they endured two weeks gap, West Ham had good results against Huddersfield, West Brom, Bolton and Swansea in the last four games. It has increased their confidence, which was threatening the start of the season. With the return of the Irons’ stars like Lanzini, Arnautovic and Lanzini, the possibility to repeat a victory is bigger. Even if Chicharito does not start in the 11, the East London club should continue being the favourite.
To raise our confidence, the host side will continue to miss summer signing Jonathan Walters, who remains out as a consequence of a knee injury. In addition, according to BBC Sports, West Ham had won the last five games against Burnley. Therefore, many fans believe that the Irons could increase their large supremacy to six and get the victory away Saturday. But the players need to be 100% focused to get to that result.
Why Burnley could win
Whilst Burnley have one absence, the Clarets do have a better start to a top-flight with twelve points in the seven games overall. With three wins and three drawn, they have only lost the one. The Northwestern club has conceded only 5 times in seven matches. Furthermore, West Ham won’t have James Collins playing on their side, as a result of an ankle injury.

One thing that is against them this season is that their away form has been better this season. They are already making history and having one of their best starts in the Premier League history. They do have great players as Robbie Brady who has scored three goals in the last five confrontations over the East-Londoners.
Predicted Lineups
Burnley

West Ham

Verdict
It would be easier if I wrote an article affirming that West Ham will win today. But, it’s hard to predict something like that, especially when the other side is doing good work. Thus, I truly believe that both teams will score, but that no-one will come out on top.
