The are new rumours are linking Maurizio Sarri with a move to West Ham. But, can he change the Hammers’ situation?

According to Sunday Express, Maurizio Sarri has linked as the new West Ham’s target, in a case on Slevan Bilic’s department. But, is the Italian a good name for the Hammers?

As reports have claimed, “Bilic is seen as a dead mean” by the Board and has been the impression that his time is coming to end at the London Stadium. This was highlighted with Bilic’s recent comments about the board in interviews.

Knowing that Bilic desires to leave and the huge pressure on Gold and Sullivan, the Board have already searched some names to replace him next season, thus the club considered two names: Firstly, Rafa Benitez, the Spaniard was the favourite name in the early days, even before Bilic. But his move to Real Madrid ended that and now his tenure at Newcastle is dousing interest there.

The name of the Sarri has grown inside because he has done a good job in Italy, and he is still an unknown name in England. Plus, The Italian has only two years in a contract with the Napoli side and would move to London for only £7,5m, which is the price of his buyout clause.

Is he a good name for the Hammers?

The answer is yes and no. Why? Because indeed he is a great manager, what he has done in Italy is something brilliant. The Italian built one of the best attacks in Europe, composed by Dries Mertens, Lorenzo Insigne and Jose Callejon. The Maurizio Sarri tactics made the Napoli’s revolution with his 4-3-3.

His tactics involve keeping possession while also, make sure that the team makes the ball run quickly and precisely. The Napoli’s style of play has started with the defensive line into the middle until could use Hamsik as his connection man to make the trio Mertens, Insigne and Callejon work perfectly.

As I said before, what he is doing with ‘The Little Donkeys’ is something extraordinary. However, we have to agree that West Ham actually has a terrible board that usually doesn’t like a spend a lot, especially when it’s about a good player. If Maurizio Sarri is a miraculous man, he could be a perfect name for this board. If the Italian is not, he would be frustrated.

It is good to hear that the Board are working for a while after we have seen such embarrassment by the owners, it’s good to have some illusion with the future. But, to be like they had said a few years ago as ‘a future”, they must construct one. First, investing in the Academy and after bringing good names for the squad. Because we all know, only a good coach does not make miracles.
