Dribble at the defence

If the Hammers are to get a win, they must trust their ability to go past people. Chicharito, Ayew and Antonio can all go past people, and they must give that a go today. Whilst this may seem in contradiction to the previous point, dribbling success could be key today.

Whilst Huddersfield have made a decent number of tackles so far, they also commit a fair amount of fouls. They have made 24 tackles, but 17 fouls. With three players willing to run at them and Andy Carroll drawing his usual fowls because he’s so big and physical there should be plenty of opportunities to get an attacking set piece into the box.

It’s a shame Lanzini is injured, because he’s great with the ball at his feet. Even players like Kouyate carrying the ball forward would be a big threat, and it’s important to mix things up like this to make sure that the Hammers can get the goals they need to win.
