Keep the ball
If the Hammers are to have any chance of winning this match, they must keep the ball. Huddersfield have been very efficient with the ball so far this season, so we cannot afford our visitors any more of the ball than necessary.
West Ham are also surprisingly good at keeping the ball when necessary. Mark Noble might not be the most adventurous player in the world, but he retains possession. Our most dangerous attacks will be when everyone is in position and can make the most of our talent, both aerially and on the ground.
With Carroll and Hernandez likely to be the main two strikers, quality deliveries are important. Taking our time and getting the ball to our wingers, recycling the ball when necessary will be key to frustrating the opposition and maximising our chances of winning. Plus, the longer we hold the ball the bigger chance they will give us a set piece in a dangerous area.
