With the season now underway West Ham have shown that while the club has improved significantly at the front of the team they are just as brittle as last season at the back.
West Brom’s Jonny Evan’s is rumored to be on the move and this is exactly the sort of move that West Ham should make.
He is rumored to be available for between 25-30 million pounds and is exactly the right kind of signing for us. Evans has experience at every level of football and since moving to West Brom and being named captain he has become a much better player than he was under the bright lights at Old Trafford. He has been chased by Manchester City and Leicester City so far this summer and neither has pulled off a deal.

Evans To East London?
Jonny Evans would fit in perfectly at the London Stadium. He’s a full Northern Ireland international with a strong work ethic and ability in the air. The Hammers are too brittle at the back and if Arnautovic, Lanzini, Hernandez and Antonio are going to show their worth at the top of the pitch moves like this one need to get made. Too long West Ham have focused on flashy attacking players and not enough on the meat and potatoes of a football side. You need to be able to defend and play midfield if you’re going to win football matches. It’s very simple.
Evans will be looking to make a move to the next level. He didn’t fair well at United early in his career and a move to Manchester City would not earn him a whole host of playing time. Leicester City are an up and down side that don’t exactly make for many restful nights as a professional. West Ham are perfect because they are on the cusp on breaking into the top-6 and offer that level of competitiveness along with one of the best supporter groups in the world.

Playing in front of the Hammers faithful, in London, for good money and competing for Europe is the sort of thing dreams are made of and is exactly the kind of thing that Jonny Evans should be looking to do moving forward.
