West Ham take on Manchester United at Old Trafford to start their Premier League season.

It’s not an ideal place to go, but West Ham have no pressure to get a result. However Bilic will be going with the intent to get something if possible. He will at least want to see his new players gel and put in a good performance.

To help, we’ve gone through and listed 5 things we think will help the Hammers this weekend. In some loose order of importance, the East Londoners would do well to remember these 5 points and why they’re important.

Pressure Lindelof

More from Green Street Hammers - West Ham

A new signing at Manchester United, Lindelof has not settled too quickly. He looked out of place in the match against Real Madrid recently, and whilst I am quite aware that we don’t match up to the Champions League winners we can still put the pressure on him.

Hernandez would have been looking at that match with a little excitement, because that’s what he feeds on. A new centre back pairing will have their hands full keeping up with his movement. Add in Arnautovic and Ayew who will both have a point to prove, and it’s not an ideal first Premier League match.

The worst thing West Ham could do is sit off early and allow him to get settled. It’s a big stadium and the pressure will be on him to perform. If they can get the three attacking players in and around Lindelof it will be interesting. An early goal for the Mexican will put the cat firmly among the pigeons.
