Cheikhou Kouyate

Kouyate had an interesting season.  When he played he was wonderful and a diligent hard working member of the team.  The problem is he left for the African Cup of Nations and that took him away from the squad during the early winter period when they were suffering the most.  At the base of the diamond where he’ll be called upon to read the game well and use his athleticism to shield the defense West Ham could truly see him flourish.  There’s no reason why he can’t be a better player than Victor Wanyama.  This year he simply must do it however or West Ham need to start looking at other options.
