Should West Ham be considering Werder Bremen Star
West Ham are currently competing with Everton and Stoke for Werder Bremen’s Max Kruse.
Kruse has been a consistent performer in the Bundesliga for many years now. At age 29, he has had a long career across an array of teams in the German first division. He has counted St. Pauli, Borussia Monchengladbach and Wolfsburg as his previous employers and done a relatively good job scoring goals in each. Could West Ham be the next club?
This season he is one of the principal reasons that Werder Bremen are even still in the first division. His 15 goals in 23 Bundesliga appearances managed to lift Bremen to 16th and out of the relegation places.

Consistent Career Man
His career statistics are an interesting 57 goals and 50 assists in 189 Bundesliga appearances. This writer and scout believes goals and assists should be counted together as you can’t have on without the other and creators shouldn’t be punished for their selflessness if it results in the club still scoring a goal. So he has been responsible for 107 goals in 189 Bundesliga games. That is a remarkable ratio.
According to transfermarkt.co.uk he is valued at slightly under 7 million pounds. If West Ham can force this deal through this very day then they should. The Irons are in need of many changes to the team and ones like this help move the club towards the top of the table where their history and supporters belong.
At the moment the bookies still favor Everton as the leaders in this chase but it is by no means over. The Hammers must try and force this deal through and have a very good list of reasons to do so. They can afford the wages, offer London’s lifestyle and the first class London Stadium as a new home in which to play. All of those are good.

London is an easier city for players to move to if they have no experience abroad, FACT. That is something that will truly matter to a player who until the age of 29 hasn’t left his domestic league once. West Ham must put on their negotiating suits and force this to happen. The badge, the fans and the history of West Ham deserve it.
