Is Ross Barkley a good idea for West Ham?
By Amanda Paula
The Everton star has been involved in new rumours to move to West Ham. However, could we dream to have him or not? Moreover, if he goes to East-London, will he be a good acquisition to the Hammers?
West Ham needs to try to recruit a new striker to add pace and quality in their squad. We have to add another midfielder to our team. It is necessary one player make a great duo with Manuel Lanzini. Recently the British press has reported Ross Barkley as a potential Everton target. However, even if this interest is true we need to look how he will play in London Stadium.
I have no doubt that Barkley is an excellent player with his great vision on the field. He is only 23 years-old and has something that a few footballers could go in world football; he mixes its skills with force, vision and a good pass. As he only has played at Everton in his life, the moves to London could be a great experience for him. Nevertheless, we have to take care, because our rival Tottenham is also interested in him.

What will he bring?
We have to remember that Ross Barkley is a multifunctional footballer who can start been playing as a midfielder on the left, centre and right. This means that he could do a great duo with Manuel Lanzini. After Dimitri Payet move to France, we lost creativity, at the same time we saw Lanzini grow up faster without his old partner. Nevertheless, I believe that Slaven Billic could get the best from both players.
In Everton, Barkley plays as an attacker-midfielder in their 3-5-2 and showed his explosive nature. He showed its creativity whilst he supplied Romeo Lukaku. He finished the season with six goals and eight assists in 42 appearances. I presume that if the Hammers could bring him in this summer window they might be thinking to be in order to qualify for the Europa League.

Slaven Billic wants to make a good squad for the next season and Barkley could be one of other players who will come in this summer window.
