Last week the West Ham fans had their say on Andy Carroll’s future, and decided they wanted him gone. But what is considered a fair price?
It’s one thing to sell a player, anyone can do that. But what is a fair price? West Ham fans have been voting on that in the past few days, and been trying to weigh everything up. Does Andy Carroll offer a lot to the club? Or will any buying club be more worried about an injury?
If you wanted to think really hard about it, what club would be interested? And how much would they be willing to pay? Whatever thought process was used, the votes are in.

The Market Price
Well Hammers’ fans have decided that the fair price is less than we bought him for. The most popular answer out of those on offer was between 10 and 15m, which is less than the then club record 15m that was paid for the player from Liverpool.
Although considering injuries, is that fair? He also has less potential than when he moved to London, due to his age. For that price you are getting a player who you’d fancy to win 9/10 aerial challenges and someone who does pick up fairly regular goals (when playing).
Plus, in this market, anyone who scores goals for under 10m is probably a bargain. Even if they do get injured. So those who think that the club would get rid of him for under 5m are probably just trying to make a point. Although it would free up wages…
So you voted that Andy Carroll should be sold by West Ham in the summer, but what's the minimum price?

In the current conditions, I do think the club could get around 15m for Carroll. And I think that would be a fair price if they wanted to sell. The question remains if Slaven Bilic wants his main striker sold without a replacement in already?
Next Vote?
Watch out on the twitter account for our next weekly vote which will run over the weekend. We will also run it on our facebook account as well to get all the votes we missed last time.
But first, it’s all eyes on the match against Spurs…
