The West Ham manager continues to show his faith in the argentine centre-forward, Jonathan Calleri. But, how long must he persist with this?
After having drawn two consecutive Premier League matches with Everton and Stoke City without any goals, West Ham needs to have a change. A lot of it is thanks to Slaven Bilic. The manager sets the Argentine centre-forward, Jonathan Calleri into his starting 11 players often. How much longer will he persist with Calleri even when he doesn’t make any goals?
According to West Ham official twitter account, Calleri covered 8 km and completed 50 sprints over Stoke. At the same time, he has only scored one goal in fourteen appearances since he had arrived at the Hammers.

Is he improving?
Against Stoke City the Argentine almost scored, but the keeper from Stoke, Jack Butland was bigger in the one-on-one. I must assume that Bilic still has in his mind that Calleri is the same player who had played in the South American Giants, São Paulo and Boca Juniors.
In the both clubs, he was the main man, especially when he was playing in the Brazilian club, São Paulo. Whilst at Boca he shared his attention with the former Hammer Carlos Tevez, who advised Calleri to stay at West Ham until the end of the season.
We do not have a lot option an attack; Andy Carroll has not played a single match recently, to help us get some goals. The only real choice that we have, is someone who has a lot of problems with his adaptation in England. In my opinion, David Sullivan needs to talk with Bilic and put the right cards on the table to discuss what player might be better to bring to East-London.
Summer Transfers
Moreover, this is my advice: West Ham needs to be 100% sure it is not just one striker they could bring, but more. Nevertheless, it is crucial that the Hammers have a spirited squad so that they can return to being able to qualify for the Europa League.
Therefore, the team must buy more one keeper and an attacking midfielder to make a start at a good squad. Otherwise, I respect Noble and for me, he still is our captain, but he is not the same player nowadays. Plus, I just do not have any pleasure to watching Andre Ayew on the field.
Next: West Ham should chase this Anderlech star
I don’t believe that West Ham will drop out Ayew in this summer transfers, given the fee paid last summer. Why not sign another player for him to go upfront alongside? His ability as a secondary striker are far greater than when he is upfront alone.
