Neither of them are involved in rumours that claim they will move to East London in the Summer window. Be that as it may, I personally assume that if West Ham want a good bargain, they need to keep an eye on them.

Since the season is nearing completion, West Ham needs try to recruit a new striker to add pace and quality if they want their hard work to come to fruition. Andy Carroll is not the player worth the hefty price that was paid for him. It is crucial that the Hammers have a spirited squad so that they can return to being feisty in order to qualify for the Europa League.

Furthermore, why not have a peek in the South American market as well? It is common knowledge that it has a wide variety of skilful players and is currently experiencing severe financial issues. If merely two players from there would be selected, it would bring pleasure to the Olympic Stadium. Plus, we know that David Sullivan loves to buy from South America.

More from Green Street Hammers - West Ham

Luan – Grêmio forward

The 24 years old, is a Brazilian player who plays as a forward for Grêmio, could be a good acquisition for West Ham. He was called by Four Four Two that “Brazil’s next thing” on 15 July 2016. And last year, he was crowned as an Olympic gold medalist playing with Barcelona’s winger Neymar and the Manchester City’s forward, Gabriel Jesus.

He finished ‘Brasileirão’ season (the domestic league), as the protagonist of the club from Porto Alegre. According to Who Scored, he marked seven goals and three assists. Another great thing about him is that he is a multifunctional footballer who can start been playing as an attacking midfielder.

And now, he is playing in Libertadores. It will be difficult to get him while he is playing the most important competition in South America. However, after the last poor results with his team, if they are eliminated, the move to East-London is not an impossible as one would first think and therefore could give the Hammers an electrifying boost and team-spirit.

Sebastian Driussi – River Plate forward

He’s only 21 years old and plays for the regular team of the South American Giants, River Plate. Recently, British press reported him as a potential Tottenham target. The argentine centre-forward finished Argentine League season scored 13 goals and 2 assists.

If River Plate seems familiar, it’s because West Ham’s current star man Manuel Lanzini used to play there as well. They have a fair number of former players who have made it in World football, including Erik Lamela, Falcao and Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez.

Next: Lanzini v Payet

This year we failed in signing the biggest flop on the last summer window, the Argentine Calleri. In addition, we see Payet leaving to France without replacement for a footballer like him. If the Hammers can add these players to their team then they need to move quickly sooner rather than later.
