This is ridiculous. It is simply unfair to the rest of the team that they have to deal with the types of goalkeepers who have been between the sticks for West Ham United this year.
Not having a solid goalkeeper is the Achilles heal of any team. It doesn’t matter how big or small your club or how good the rest of the squad is if you don’t have a decent keeper. They are the foundation that the rest of the team is built on. They are the ground from which the rest of the tree and all it’s incalculable intricacies can grow.
Without a good goalkeeper discussing tactics, style, ball-movement and all is simply a waste of time. This is why West Ham should make buying Joe Hart the first order of business come the summer transfer window.

Joe Hart is a damn fine goalkeeper and especially having played a season of essentially finishing school in Italy at Torino I think he will be better than he ever was before. During his time in Turin they have absolutely fallen in love with the English goalkeeper and for good reason.
He is good in the air, organizes his defense with aplomb and has marvelous instincts and shot stopping ability. If anything the biggest mistake that Guardiola made in his first season in charge at Manchester City was choosing the anemic Claudio Bravo to play instead of him. Manchester City are probably plying with Chelsea at the top of the table if they have Joe Hart.
West Ham need to buy Joe Hart. They can afford the fee and his wages and it would be something that gave the entire rest of the squad strength and energy. The issue with the West Ham defense is they lack solidarity and organization as well as quite frankly confidence. It is almost as if they are on the verge of snapping at all points even when they aren’t being tested. That is because they don’t trust the man behind them. This then radiates through the rest of the team.

West Ham buying Joe Hart on literally day one of the summer transfer window should be the first piece of business they get into. He plus the addition of Reece Oxford in defense come next season will be a very different team.
