As it’s Christmas, we thought we’d take a lighter look at the current West Ham team. Here’s what we’d get the current squad for a gift this time of year! (Some may be more serious than others)

Zaza, Calleri and Tore – Budget Airline Flight vouchers

I was thinking maybe some thanks for coming cards, but that seems too nice. When these players have contributed as little as they collectively have, we need something a bit more direct.

As such I think flight vouchers are perfect. I don’t want to spend too much on them with the fact that they’ve contributed nothing. A whole flight might seem like a nice reward, and I certainly wouldn’t want to spend anything more than budget airline fees on them.

The idea that Simone Zaza would be on a budget airline home seems good to me. He works hard but provides no frills and should feel right at home on a similar flight back home. Always gets a run out but never the best option.

As for the other two, it seems like a budget airline would be better than they deserve. Contributing about 3 good crosses and two hopeful shots between them, Calleri and Tore promised a lot more than they gave. The Board’s annual South American option did not go very well.
