Alvaro Arbeloa

Position: RB

More from Green Street Hammers - West Ham

Games Played: 4 (346 minutes)

Impact So Far: Not much. He had barely played in two years when he joined West Ham, and it showed. There wasn’t anything about his play when he was selected and it reeked of desperation and lack of planning when the club signed him instead of a younger and more established Premier League right back. Not the player’s fault, but he’s not at the level the club require.

Potential Future Impact: None. The likelihood is that he will not play for the hammers again. ExWhuEmployee has refused to mention the specifics at the request of the club the nature of the incident stopping him playing more regularly, but it sounds like he’s had a falling out with Slaven Bilic. I’d be very surprised to see him start any more.

Transfer Grade: D. Filled a gap. Nothing more, nothing less. In January he will be out again.
