Hull (H)

What Bilic will be after: Win. No excuses. Take 6 points into Christmas.

More from Analysis

West Ham must take maximum points from these two games. Christmas is a tough period with many games and these two are the easiest it will get. Hull have looked rudderless since the start of the season, we must expose them at home and go into Christmas with the wind in our sails and the worst run of our season behind us.

What would be best is a big win, by three or four goals. If we can go into the hectic Christmas/New Year stage with a big win, and maybe one or two goals for a striker would be nice, then the fans will be back on side and looking forward to the next year in football.

It’s a tough run, but if we manage it well we could be looking at 13 points from it and a potential semi final in the EFL cup to be looking forward to. Runs like this are tough, but they could define West Ham’s season. The Hammers can’t shy away.
