When Liverpool have been in the mood this season, you can’t stop them. The front three of Mane, Coutinho and Firmino (even Lallana to some extent) have the skill and mobility to get through almost any defence in the league.
United managed to stop them and I think that’s the way you have to go. At Anfield they are going to be full of running and confidence. Trying to go after Liverpool may show up their defensive frailties but you will be undone by their attack, and they will score more than us.
As such we need to focus on a back first approach. Liverpool have shown they can present goals to the opposition: see recent match for details. We just need to give ourselves a chance so that those goals actually matter and aren’t just footnotes in another Liverpool win.
Spurs, United, Arsenal, Liverpool. Four points from that run would be a good return in my opinion. We’ve not been at our best but we need to try and pick up some points in this run. But the next two matches are just as crucial
