What do you get when you take a team of super stars and put the most successful manager of recent times in charge of them? Apparently a pile of inconsistent mess. Right now, United do not look a title winning force.
And for West Ham, to play on those cracks in the team is all they need to do. They can be stopped going forward and their defence isn’t impenetrable. They sat right back against Liverpool and kept them at bay, but they will want to attack us. United will view this game as a must win.
With the new 3 centre back system we could hit them well on the counter and get the ball wide enough to cause them issues. It remains to be seen who will be up front for us in this match as we search for a striker. However if Zaza can grab a few goals, or Ayew can find his place in the side then we will create chances.
I think Ayew would be the best choice and we can hit them on the counter attack with pace. They will push a lot to try and score early but if we hold strong we can take this game. We’ve resisted Mourinho sides before, we can do it again.
