Dobson is better known as a centre back but played in midfield for Walsall against Charlton. He is a strong player and joined West Ham from Arsenal, snapping up the opportunity to play for the club he has always supported when he heard we were interested.

He played 81 minutes for the side, who fought hard in vain against the south London side. The Saddlers levelled with 20 minutes left but conceded again less than five minutes after. This led to the side losing 2-1 on the day.

Dobson would love to force himself into the squad and seems to have the talent. All he needs to do now is prove to the coaches at West Ham that he is what is missing from the squad. It is a tough ask as he is competing with some very talented young Hammers.
