Mickail Antonio

HE’S NOT A RIGHT BACK!

The big man was everything we wanted today on the wing, and he got his reward. In the first half he pushed forward well and at pace, causing the defence all sort of worry.

  • In the second half he continued, driving forwards and passing well, before popping up at the back post. His athleticism was never in doubt, and he rose a good head above the defender to hit the winner.

I hope he gets more chances at the more forward role, because he excels there. A great player, and a great person by the look of it.

    Gokhan Tore

Another player that has been under the cosh for his Chelsea performance, but he was great today.

A tricky ‘inverted’ winger who loves to cut inside, he caused the full backs all sorts of issues. Stepovers, accurate crosses and a good attitude, all things that West Ham fans will love.

Bad freekicks? Not so much. It put a stain on his performance today but when Payet comes back that’s not going to be an issue.
