Håvard Nordtveit

Looking much more of a solid player. He was much better this week after a poor Chelsea performance and looked in control.

The former Borussia player was great at breaking up the Bournemouth attacks and dropped well to help shield the defence. His use of the ball was much better than previously and he was far calmer.

Good progress.

More from Green Street Hammers - West Ham

Cheik Kouyate

A West Ham favourite who wasn’t quite on his game today.

Not that he was bad, he just wasn’t great. He made a few driving runs but faltered at the end of them. He had a few shots but nothing on target and was generally lacking that cutting edge.

I didn’t expect him to play today due to injury but it was good to see him complete 90 minutes. Hopefully more to come from the man.

Mark Noble

A true leader of the team and did well in his more forward position. He’s not a natural attacking player, but he did what he could.

Sometimes he is caught further back in the pitch than he needs to be for the attacking midfield tole, but when he does have the ball he has improved immeasurably over the years and he does the right thing more often than not.

A solid player in the middle but I’m looking forward to having Lanzini or Payet back in that role so we can move forward with a bit more pace, and Noble to sit back and spread the play like he can.
