As old fashioned as a modern centre back is allowed to be, he is a class act. He doesn’t allow anything past him and he’s big in the air.
He has trouble against pace because his acceleration isn’t great, but he’s solid. When the ball comes in, Collins wins it. When someone tries to run past him, Collins wins it. He’s a wall in the shape of a man.
Solid if unspectacular today, he doesn’t make many mistakes. A great option to have in the squad and good in the heart of the defence today.
7/10
Winston Reid
When fit, Reid is a top defender. And he proved that today. Some people feel he is too inconsistent, but today he was great. He made sure that the mobile Bournemouth attack was kept under wraps, and put his body on the line when necessary.
A great block to preserve our lead summed up his performance. A great player and a leader at the back of the team.
