West Ham Player Ratings: Premier League At Home to Bournemouth
West Ham got their life at the Olympic Stadium in the Premier League off to a winning start with a stuttering performance against Bournemouth, won by a late Antonio header from a cute Tore cross.
Now that the team have got their first win, attention turns to Thursday night. To celebrate, let’s take a quick look at the player ratings from the opening game.
Keeper
Adrian
It’s always hard being a keeper, because you have to sit there waiting for something bad to happen. Only then are you called into action.
But the Spaniard did brilliantly today. Some solid control of the box was backed up by some extremely sharp stops from long range and close in on the box. His stop from King just after the half time break was great and vital to the flow of the game.
He, for me, is by far an away our No.1 when he plays like this. His downfall is concentration and making mistakes, and I hope he keeps them under control. When he’s on form there’s not many better shot stoppers in the world.
