The results may not have been what we are looking for so far, but there are at least a small number of good things that have shown themselves in the pre-season matches.

Sofiane Fegouhli

West Ham may be struggling to find a striker that fits their marquee signing promise but one signing that already looks the business is Algerian Sofiane Fegouhli, who West Ham signed for free this transfer window after his contact at Valencia expired.

The winger looks lively and willing to take people on, and has already shown both his final product and his connection with current No.1 striker Andy Carroll in the batch against Carolina Railhawks.

The addition of him and Tore continues to add more attacking options for Slave Bilic ahead of the new season and he will be delighted that the new signing has hit the ground running with minimal fuss.
