Chelsea v Leicester

It’s an early kick off for two teams in very different scenarios. One looking for anyway to return to last years form, and another looking to banish last years results with a better turn out this time. Chelsea have looked solid, but some cracks are starting to appear. Leicester are on the up, and I think they’ll cancel each other out.

Arsenal v Swansea

If you like watching football, then Arsenal are a great team when in full flight. They pass and move really well and they’re unstoppable on their day. Swansea have not been at their best but have a new manager. However that manager has never taken charge of a Premier League game, so this could be a rude awakening for him at the hands of a seasoned master.

Bournemouth v Hull

Hull started a lot better than people thought they would, but have now begun to fade. Many also feared for Bournemouth and Howe’s open style, but they’ve got some results together. My worry for Bournemouth is that they never seem like keeping a clean sheet, and I don’t think they will against what is a very dogged and determined Hull side.

Man City v Everton

They may have stuttered last week against Spurs, but Guardiola’s City are still fearsome. They look good in defence, even if it’s because they dominate possession so much and up top there’s a wide range of attacking menace. Everton might be able to upset them, but it will be tough. I think City will sneak this one at home.

Stoke v Sunderland

Stoke have been poor so far this season, but still have a decent squad. Moyes will continue to struggle at Sunderland because some of the squad just aren’t Premier League quality and they are relying heavily on Defoe to keep scoring the goals. It’s not going to be a match of high quality, but it will be close.

Scott 2-2  Jono 2-1

West Brom v Spurs

West Brom, apart from beating West Ham convincingly, have looked average. Spurs, have not. The North London side remain the Premier League’s only unbeaten side, and despite injury to Harry Kane they look like scoring past most teams at the moment. They’ll be too strong for West Brom this week.

Palace v West Ham

Palace are on the up, and West Ham still look lost. If the East Londoners can find their top form then they’ll have a great chance. As it is I just don’t see us keeping Palace at bay. If we win it’ll be a high scoring affair but I don’t think we’ll get anything from this match.

More from Green Street Hammers - West Ham

Boro v Watford

Two teams that were in many people’s three to go down, and they may still do. Boro look a bit dull, but their defence has started leaking of late. Watford are an enigma of a team, and I can’t work out how they go up one week and down so far the next, but I think they’ll be too strong for the Premier League newcomers.

Scott 0-2  Jono 0-1

Southampton v Burnley

Southampton have managed to form once again into a very efficient outfit despite the loss of some big players and another change in manager. Burnley are just the same as they were before in the Premier League. They will make it hard for you to win, but lacking in real quality. I think this will be a comfortable win for the Saints.

Liverpool v United

Its the event of the game-week. A free scoring Liverpool against a somewhat underwhelming United. Klopp v Mourinho. What could you not be looking forward to? It will be an interesting game and there will definitely be goals. United’s defence is better than Liverpool’s, but at the moment United don’t seem fluent going forward.
