Christian Benteke

The Liverpool striker may have been the butt of many jokes last season as he struggled to live up to his huge price tag at Liverpool, but he is still an in demand striker for most of the premier league. Crystal palace have reportedly put a large bid I for the striker, but it seems west hams interest is fading due to the huge wage requests and poor injury record of the player. The board now believe money that could have gone on the Belgian is better spent elsewhere.

Green St. Hammer Rating: 2/10

Having seen Benteke’s performance against West Ham in the FA Cup last season I am less than impressed that people are willing to throw £30m at the player again. I think there are better value for money options out there, although I would not be adverse to a loan with an option to buy move for the forward.
